Building Technology IBP Technician Software Engineer Technicians

Reporting to the Customer Account Manager and based in Sydney, the IBP Technician will be responsible for delivering high-level technical services to support integrated building systems across various platforms and protocols. This role plays a key part in MSI delivery by ensuring seamless interoperability between HVAC, lighting, energy, and security systems, with a strong focus on data acquisition and centralised building management using modern API-driven technologies and open protocol.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage IBP servers and virtual machines, ensuring performance, security, and backups
  • Troubleshoot and optimise system integrations across open protocols, middleware, and APIs
  • Maintain Tridium Niagara systems and support Windows Server and Ubuntu environments
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise uptime
  • Implement control sequence and configuration updates to meet site/client needs
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, resolving issues promptly
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practice
