Ben Carter is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VAE Group, bringing over 27 years of experience in mechanical services, building automation, and business management to the role. Since taking the helm in 2011, Ben has led the company through a period of remarkable growth—scaling VAE from a $1 million turnover in 2010 to over $200 million in 2024, and expanding the business to a team of more than 400 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
With a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Queensland and executive education from Stanford Universityand AGSM at UNSW, Ben combines deep technical knowledge with strategic leadership. His hands-on experience across engineering, sales, and operations enables him to guide VAE’s mission of delivering innovative, high-performance HVAC and building solutions with a strong focus on Built in Certainty. Under his leadership, VAE continues to push the boundaries of smart building performance, sustainability, and long-term client value.
