The Project

The redevelopment of the Mater Townsville Hospital included the provision of chilled water from the existing Central Energy Building to the new Clinical Building and modification to the existing Lothair Street Building.
The new Clinical Building consists of new air handling units serving Operating Theatres, Pre-conditioning units as well as ward areas and clinical services areas.

Apart from the installation of the above HVAC services, VAE provided specialist services including medicals gases. The construction project is being carried out in a live hospital environment with no disruption, allowing the hospital to maintain full operational capacity for the duration of the project.
