The Project

Sullivan Nicolaides is an international healthcare company that delivers medical diagnostics to South East Queensland.
Hutchinson Builders was appointed to value manage, design and construct their new Bowen Hills facility in Brisbane and engaged VAE as the mechanical services design & construct provider for the project. VAE’s challenge was to redesign the entire project whilst construction was underway.

Optimise building performance using VAE Bureau.
Design Fully design and coordinate all of the building services utilising BIM 3D software. Value Management VAE worked collaboratively with Sullivan Nicolaides and Hutchinson Builders to redesign the mechanical services for the project that were cost effective, whilst still delivering the outcomes that the client required which were: being low maintenance, flexible and efficient in operation. Testing Undertaking staged pressure testing ensuring the PC 2 and PC 3 rooms met the required pressure regimes of the internal spaces.

Key Statistics

The project is currently in the 12-month warranty period. VAE integrated the BIM with all systems to enable remote monitoring. VAE monitors internal conditions and the plant using VAE Bureau, which observes trends and pre-emptively investigates any anomalies. This increases the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance — preventing issues before they occur and ensures quick resolution should there be any failures.
